Mission Adventures School

Details are slowly emerging. Here’s what we know:

MA School | Spring 2014 | VancouverMike Davies will be leading the first ever Mission Adventures School during the Spring of 2014 in the beautiful city of Vancouver.

Other than that, we don’t know much. Some of our thoughts are as follows:

  • 12 weeks of living and learning.
  • University of the Nations credit.
  • Extremely practical.

Keep in mind that everything is in flux—all that up there may change. Or it might not.

We do know that the next generation of youth leaders will be made here. And we know that the previous generations will impart their wisdom and drop their k-nowledge.

Mark you calendar.

Oh, and the swag is gonnu be off the hook.

Reflection and Goals

Hey All!

A newsletter that Craig sent out recently got me thinking. It was about reflection and goals. I thought it would be good for all of us to do something similar. I took the questions and modified them a bit. It would be cool if we can all take a moment, seek God and reply in a comment to these question. There is many resons why I think this would be great, two of them being encouragement and accountability. So let do it! SEEK GOD and REPLY! O, YEAH!

Reflection

  • What is one thing you learned from running MA last year?
  • What was your biggest accomplishment in 2012?
  • What is a God story from the last year that impacted someone’s life?

Goals

  • What is the purpose of having MA in you location?
  • How can you use MA to fulfill the vision of your base?
  • Big picture, what is God calling you to do with MA this year?
  • What are your minimum goals, primary goals, and stretching goals for the year?(name 3 for each)

The WAVES Gathering in Rio was epic! We had amazing speakers like Sean Lambert, Wellington Oliviera, and the incredible Kay Charlotte, and awesome worship, (Rain Down on Us!). We had keys, and umbrellas, and special tee shirts and bracelets, and more that I can’t even tell you.

If you were there, leave a comment and tell us what you’re most significant WAVES moment was. If you weren’t there, then just enjoy the photos.

EVANGELISM IN A JAR

Hey everyone.  Just wanted to share a new trainign session we are doing with our students called “Evangelism in a Jar”.  Each student rotates between 5 stations, each station is about 20 minutes long.  The five stations covers the metaphors the Bible uses to describe what we as Christian are…they are Salt of the Earth, Letters of Christ, Ambassadors of Christ, Firmly Rooted Trees, and Stars of the Universe.  Each station is filled with interactive things getting the kids to focus more on their life as it relates to this.  For example, our Salt of the Earth on e is different foods that all have different salt components.  They then discuss what too much salt can do, not having enough, or having the perfect amount can do to food.  This is then related to our witness to others.  It’s a blast!!!  Please feel free to do this activity at your location, and allow yoru staff to go crazy with creativity!  God BLess.

2012 By the Numbers

Wahoo! God has done a huge thing among us, friends! From October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012, we mobilized more than 3,500 students! Isn’t it amazing what we can do together? So take a minute and praise God with me for what he’s done.

Now take another moment and remember a few of the students you interacted with in 2012. Pray for them and ask God to be present in their lives and to finish the work He started in them when they were with you.

So thank you for filling out that survey. Here’s the full report:
