I Love a good mock-up. Don’t you? It’s called a ‘Dummy’–not because it’s somehow intellectually deficient, but because, well, I don’t know. I guess it’s printer-talk for an empty mock-up. I know you can’t feel it, but I wish you could because the cover is called Cougar Double Thick (130#!) White Smooth FSC. That’s printer talk for thick and luxurious and so… so… tactile. And the guts are Husky Opaque Offset 60# Smooth. That’s printer talk for… smooth.
Anyway, I love that our printer provided this—it really helps me get the feel for how this gorgeous journal is going to turn out. I’m loving the size of it. It’s a bit smaller than past journals—not significantly so, just enough to make it more personal.
You’ll notice a pencil in the photo; I put it there so you could get a sense of the scale of the book. (By the way, that’s one of our remaining Lazarus themed pencils from a few years back. No, you’ll not receive one of these with the Journal this year, although I think I might get a different pencil—we’ll see).
Eagle-eyed readers might see something special sticking out the top of the Journal. Hmmmm… I wonder what that could be?!
