Coin Concept. Not Actual SizeIt turns out the Mission Adventures Design Gnomes™ are experts at creating die-struck coins. Who knew? Anyway, they whipped up this mock-up of a coin for your Mission Adventures participants. Note that it has a super-detailed world map on both sides, and custom lettering around the edge. The coin will be an inch and a half in diameter and will arrive in a clear pouch.
So Ummm… Why a Coin?
Well, it’s all about the our memories. Mission Adventures is a powerful experience for all our participants, but like anything its power of it can fade over time. So if we can find things that can act as triggers for our memories, then the impact of the Mission Adventures experience can last a lot longer. That’s why we provide a journal—because kids will keep it. That’s why in the Commitment Booklet, there’s a Commitment Card. And that’s why we’re minting a coin. Our hope in providing the coin is so that your kids will keep it and be reminded of their outreach everytime they see it. God’s actually been doing these kinds of things with His people for centuries. Check out the story of the crossing of the Jordan to see an example.
The coin will be a part of The Works!™ package, and also available as a separate item. Keep in mind that the order deadline for Spring Kits is:
Friday January 13, 2012
Kits will be Delivered the First Week of March
